If you could know for SURE that you will go to Heaven when you die, would that be worth knowing?
The Bible Says in 1 John 5:13: These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
The Bible says you can know for sure. You see... there are four things you need to know.
1. All Have Sinned
The Bible says in Romans 3:10: As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Isaiah 64:6 says: But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;
Our righteousness is the best we have to offer and the Bible says they are like filthy rags!
Romans 3:23 says: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
2. Sin Demands a price
Romans 6:23 says: For the wages of sin is death;
By definition, a wage is something we earn or deserve. When we work at a job, we get paid a wage. The Bible says the wage we earn or deserve for our sin is death. Now we all know that we are going to die one day. This death the Bible speaks of is spiritual death. Revelation 20:14 says: And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Since the wage of sin is death and we have all sinned, when we die, we all deserve to go to Hell... but that is not the whole story!
3. Jesus Paid the Price
Romans 6:23 says: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Ephesians 2:8 says: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
A gift by definition is something you are given that you do not have to pay for! If I got you a birthday gift and wrapped it all up and decorated it with bows and then before handing it to you said you that you have to pay me for it is that a gift? No That is not a gift. What if I said before you can have it you have to mow my lawn, is that a gift? No. That is a wage... something you earn. Salvation is a Gift! Free!
The Bible says in Romans 5:8: But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Knowing that sin demand the price of death, Isn't it wonderful that Jesus paid the sin debt for us!
4. You Must Receive Him
The Bible says in Romans 10:9-13: 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
If you would like to make that decision today, simply pray this prayer and mean it:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know I'm a sinner, and that I deserve to pay my own sin debt, but I do believe that You died for me, to pay the debt I owe. Today, the best I know how, I trust You as my Savior. I will depend on You from this moment on for my salvation. Forgive me of my sin and help me to live for You and to be a good Christian. Thank You for saving me. Amen.
Praise The Lord! You just made the single most important decision you will ever make!
Please let us know about this monumental decision.
